# Edit device
To edit a device, on the asset tree, click on the three dots next to the device to be edited. Then click on **Edit entity**. Alternatively, the user can click on the three dots next to the device's name on the Device overview page.

Everything except the **Device name** field can be edited. To be able to update the device, all mandatory fields should be filled. When done, click the **Update** button in the right bottom corner to edit the device.
