# Remove device

To remove a device in the asset tree, select the option **Edit entity** in the sub-menu of the device. To remove a device from the detail view, click on the pencil icon close to the top-right corner of the dashboard. 

On the window that will show up, click on the **Delete** button to delete the asset. A confirmation window will be displayed to make sure the deletion is not an accident. Click the **OK** button to proceed or click the **Cancel** button to abort.
